# ✅ How to collaborate on a document in real time

Did you know that you can use OneDrive to collaborate on a document in real time? Instead of emailing multiple versions back and forth, everyone can work in the same file and see updates as they happen. This makes it much easier to draft documents, review edits and keep everyone working from one up-to-date version.

**Steps:**

1. Upload the file to OneDrive
2. Click **Share**
3. Send the access link

1. Work together in real time – on a Teams call, or with multiple editors working in the file at the same time. You will often see coloured cursors or initials showing where other people are editing.

No more sending versions back and forth via email! Real-time collaboration helps teams work faster, reduces version confusion and makes it easier to review changes together while the document is still in progress.
